OK a few things I have been trying to add into my game, but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong with the logic. Please let me know if this is possible or how to set it up for the following additions:

Reusable chests:

Adding a script that resets the chest after X time. used for ingrediant gathering, I want to put a 30 min timer on a chest.  The questions are how to set this up so my character can move around wile the timer is going, and two, will this timer work wile in other levels of the map?

Non participation fights:

Setting up a scripted battle were the player isn't in the group, but watches the fight.  Also adding an additional script to act on, depending which character wins (referance: Dragon warrior 4 pit fights)

Switching Parties on Map:

Is it possible to make the FF6 style of changing parties?  Such as setting up 3 parties and changing control of each during a chess match?

Thank you for your help. I am trying to come up with mini games, and will pubish a list of all of them for community use when I finish.  Also I have broken down some game play elements that I'll add as well.

Delete the self switch on the first page, and have it call a common event -- or maybe use http://galvs-scripts.com/galvs-respawn-timer/

Having the timer (wait) be on a parallel process will allow the player to keep moving. One note -- I've read that "waits" reset when the player switches maps. I haven't tested this, so maybe someone else can chime in, but in that case you might want to do multiple "wait 60" instead of one long wait. And maybe the respawn timer isn't affected by that.

It's definitely possible, since the game on RM2K3 (Hero's Realm) did this. In that game, you control a separate 4-person party in each of the first 4 chapters. In the final chapter, you can then toggle between each party (giving you something of a total of 12 characters).

However, I don't know how this was accomplished (with plug-ins or events or a mixture of both). My speculation is it was done with heavy amounts of events and planning.

RMMV
There are scripts available for all three options, you can find them on the master script list.

Galv's timer script was already linked above

Look for Tsukihime's Player Swap Script to have multiple parties = multiple players

I think one of the autobattle-scripts is from Yanfly, but I've seen several of them for different uses and purposes (there is one that gives your followers an enemy AI, so that the player can only control the main actor - but it can be used to automate all actors)

I don't know how "that" game has it setup, but yea It's very possible, infact It's actually easy, but omg yea a ton of eventing, and planning is required for such, unless you want to resort to scripts(Note: which the RPG Makeramerk mentioned, didn't allow).

It's basically just manipulating the change party member event command, followed by the  transfer player command. Depending how you want this to work or how many char you want to be available for such will = how much eventing, you must do.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
