How does this happen? Maybew this is a bad example but I want books etc. to be on tables but all it does is to act like it's not supposed to..

I find it very unlikely someone would have his books, wine food whatsoever to be on the floor this happens to everything basically that is supposed to be on a table.. i hope you understand me.. this annoys me quite a bit

That's because the Book and Table overwrite each other. If you want to use an table you have to use the table from the A tab. If you really need to make that book sit on that table then you need to make the book an event.

You simply put the book on the table using the map editor instead the event. There are only 2 layers in maps, the floor level in TileA and the level 2 from B to E. To have a third level to put something on tiles from B to E you have to use an event. Select the tile, create a new event, select the graphic (you may select some tiles from the tilesets too) and you can have a book on the table :D But keep in mind that the book you used will be on the border. You may need to modify the tileset.

That is wrong,if you want the table to hold what you put,you need to use the one from the A part.

The usual way to place something on a table is to use an event for the object on the table - especially if you want some interaction with it, like reading the book.

That is the reason why you can give an event a tile graphic from the current B to E tabs of the map.

Using the A-Tab-Table to place something from B on that tile is possible, but should only be used if you want to reduce the number of events on the map - the autotile-table is otherwise too restrictive on placement.

No, you don't. You CAN, but you don't HAVE to. Juunanagou's suggestion was spot on.

The other way is to edit the tileset and create a duplicate table (or at least the parts that will be covered by the book), then make a copy of the book and place on top.

But if you want to interact with the book, an event is the best way.

You'll see though, that it isn't going to look very good if you just do it like that, as the book will be sitting mostly OFF the table. In that case some editing of the tileset would be necessary to (copy and) move the book higher up so it looks like it's sitting properly on the table.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
