I don't know if this is the correct forum to ask, but it's something I'm... a little concerned about?

Because I have a LOT of user scripts. Some are simple fixes, some are integral things like Victor Engine and Yanfly. I remember telling someone how many I had like last year and they were taken aback and said that normally people only have a few.

Are there any risks or consequences of having a lot of scripts?

I'd say there is no such thing as too many scripts. However, the more scripts you have the more likely something will not play nice. For that reason, I chose to stick to scripts all by one author when starting out, then writing the edits to do the rest of what I needed, or hiring someone to make a compatible script for me.

Mostly compatibility and performance issues.

The only risk is incompatibility between some of them. There's no limit on how many scripts you can use (I use hundreds on my game)

From a compatability perspective? Be careful what you're doing.

From a performance perspective? Sky just might be the limit.

Idk, i'm not a codemaster, but my limited understanding suggests this much.

Hundreds? o.o Woah. Yeah I feel a lot better about how many I have now... XD

I haven't run into any compatibility issues yet. Do compatibility issues tend to arise when using scripts that are similar? Like... two scripts that both change the inventory? Or battling?

Yup, if two scripts both try to remove or replace something on the existing code, then they will be incompatible. Scripts that only add stuff usually won't give you much trouble.

That's a relief. Thank you.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
