I used to assume something like 99% of the rpgmaker community only bought the client and hungrily sought out free resources, but it seems there's quite a few people dropping a lot of money into their work. I've spent only about $150 in packs and script commissions justifying it as the amount of an MMO subscription. Was completely surprised that some creators spent thousands on tiles, sprites animation, custom engines, etc.
How much have you been willing to spend for your hobby/work? And to commercial developers using the RM development software, do you expect to break even, make a proft, or even expect a loss just to get your game out?
