Hello, thanks for taking the time to read this, any and all feedback and help is much appreciated.

My post as the name states is about trying to achieve a pseudo-interactive event around pictures. In less crazy person terms, That means using controlling the camera when displaying images. For example, zooming or scaling an image when the player presses a button and have the player pan the image.

I don't know if it's possible, or what methods one can go about achieving this, but since this isn't obvious in the engine, I was wondering if it's possible. Whether via eventing, scripts or plugins? I hope this make some resemblance of sense or cohesion, sometimes working on a project for so long can do that to you...

anything related to interface effects should be handled by the engine, not through eventing.

You should checkout Yanfly's picture common events plugin here
Sorry for the long time to reply, life and all that - but This wouldn't work. Reason being, I'm looking at more like a Map and how other RPGs games handle them. Think like Skyrim or The Witcher 3, the map shows you locations, and the player has a limited about of interaction with it, hence the pseudo part.

Like this:
1) Show a picture
2) Button common event: "Z" to zoom in on the picture, and the "Arrow keys" to pan the image.
3) Esc to cancel zoom or erase the picture and back into the game.

I think that's a more literate explanation, of what I'd like to achieve.

you'll need a plugin for this, and it won't be a simple plugin because you need to code the interaction points depending on map.
And for such a plugin, you'll need to give the plugin writer more details on the options and what should happen if clicked where.

So I'm guessing I need to ask for this on the Javascript thread?

So what your looking for is a fast travel plugin or a mini map?
Not necessarily. Currently what I have is a world map, which is just an option in your menu that you open up and view the world map which is just a static image. What I necessarily was hoping was a way to the event the player zooming and panning that image to check out the map, no need to fast travel or interact with the map itself, just be able to pan and zoom it to get their bearings and see locations.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
