How to add unlockable/collectionable character cards on menu?

EDIT: Ok so this post caused a lot of confusion, so I'm going to try to simplify exactly what I want: It's something like a bestiary script, but not for the enemies, for the characters/actors. I want an option called "Cards" on the left side of the menu, so that option would call a new window where a list of cards (that would be unlocked throughout the game) will appear, and when you choose an available card, a single picture will appear. That's all there is to it. Then to get out of the screen, all you need to do is press enter/space bar, that will lead you back to the second screen, and press esc to get back to the main menu.

So basically. Like. When a scene ends, you unlock a card. So it should call a common event/script or something that would add one card to the cards list, and then you could check it out on the menu. I hope I was clear enough, and thanks again for your time :")

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, um, I really hope I'm adding this to the correct topic (please forgive me if I didn't orz). I wanted to request a script to any kind soul who'd be willing to help me out. I've searched for a script like this but I didn't find any that could do what I wanted.

Anyway, I was wanting a script that unlocked a character card after a certain scene throughout the game. I know I could just basically add an item to the inventory to add the cards, but I wanted a separate command for them. So, basically, I wanted something like in the pic, so when the player chooses that option, a separate window will open and show the available character cards. For example, I have the character Italy, and a total of 11 cards, so if I only had unlocked Italy's character card, on top of the window would say something like " Cards 1/11 ", and below the option "Italy" along with 11 other "???" that the player would unlock as they play. I'm sorry if this sounds confusing, but I hope you could understand! Thanks in advance for your time if you read this!

@Shaz well it's basically their health status? They fight and get stronger through the game, so HP is for their health points and MP basically works as stamina for their skills!

So they are actors?  How are they different from the regular actors you have in your party?

@Shaz Yep! All the characters are actors in this game, though you can't choose the one you want to play with

So how is this different from the regular party screen that you get by default when you open the menu?

@Shaz Um, it's not different? It's the same, I just wanted to add the "cards" option at the left and I can't figure out how to do it. I put the picture as an example to show where I wanted the option to be D:

So, just for absolute clarity:

These cards are the equivalent of the face graphic, so you are looking for a way to change the face graphic?

If so the general structure would be:

Each card is made in the items menu.  It calls up a common event which runs a 'Show Picture' command with the image associated with that card.  It also has a 'Show Choice" command saying something like "Choose this card?" Yes or No.

If "yes" then you need the script call for changing the face graphic (similar to the one for changing the sprite graphic).  I have no idea what that script call is, but perhaps someone reading this can supply it.  Or it might be that you will need a mini-script which you will need to call up via a script call.

If "no" than do nothing.

Does that describe what you are looking for?

You might want to include a Card for the original appearance so that the player can go back to the default if they want.

@ksjp17 Yes, and no. The character cards aren't a face graphic, but just a normal picture in which I drew a character. For example, a scene enhancing the purpose of the character in the game is executed, and after it ends a card showing that character will appear. It's the size of a normal picture, and it's just a bonus to the game with no actual relevance. The face/sprite graphics I changed normally through the commands, and I drew three different icons for each character. It would be nice to have a command where the player can choose which face graphic they want after the last change, but this isn't really what I'm asking for in this topic.

So what I want is basically what you described, but when you choose the card option, it calls the script/common event that will show the picture. I just wanted to add the "Cards" option on the left side of the menu, so when you choose it, a new window will appear, like the pic I attached. Supposing only one card is unlocked, it'd look like that and when the "char 1" choice is chosen, a picture would appear (i'm just going to annex one of the character cards so I can explain more clearly what i'd want). Then the player would just need to press space bar/enter to get back to the cards menu, and esc to get back to the main menu.

I hope I could clear this up? I'm sorry this is so confusing omg

I think there is a fundamental problem here.  You want this new image to appear in the Menu (at least, that is what seems to be shown in your screen shot earlier).  Menus call up face graphics, they do not call up pictures.  So to get this to work (if it can be) you would have to put those images you drew on a sprite sheet in the same format as face graphics i.e. each one would have to be 96 x 96 and you could have up to 8 per sprite sheet, so two sprite sheets in total for your 11 images.  The menu can then use them.

The only exceptions to that come from using e.g. Galv's Menu script or Luna Engine or some other script which directly changes the menus from the default.  You haven't mentioned using a custom script, and if you are, then you would have to ask for specific modifications to that script and that opens up another world of complications.

@ksjp17 No no, wait, I think I couldn't explain myself well. I don't want the picture to appear on the menu, I just want an option called "Cards" on the menu, so when you choose it, that screen I drew would appear, and when you choose the character, then the picture would appear. It's basically the same thing when you have an item that makes a picture appear. For example, in the game, I have an item called "piece of paper". It's like this sequence I'm going to attach.

So the option "Cards" on the menu would open up the screen that has a list of the character cards available, and each option would call a common event/script that shows a picture. The picture itself wouldn't be shown in the menu.

So to clarify once more.  You want

An addition to the default Menu which calls up a new screen which is itself a menu from which you can select in order to get a picture.

This sounds a bit like a very simple bestiary-style script.

@ksjp17 Yeeees, yes, that's basically it. I guess I didn't search well enough, then? I'll see if I can find a script that can function the way I want. Thank you for your time, and I'm sorry for all the confusion!

What I suggest then is this.

You edit your opening post with the clarification I have suggested, marking it clearly as an Edit to avoid confusion.

Note, you need a bestiary-style script, probably not a full bestiary script, as that would have to be modified considerably so that it doesn't try to bring up all the stuff you don't want i.e. enemy stats, resistances etc.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
