Hey everyone, as you know in RPG Maker everytime someone uses a skill that either increases/decreases a target's stats, the maximum amount of increases/decreases is two. How can I alter this to perhaps change it from two repeated stat gains/losses? Thanks :)

For a single actor: $game_actors[id].add_param(pid, value)

For the party: $game_party.members.each { |actor| actor.add_param(pid, value)


where pid can be: 0=MHP, 1=MMP, 2=ATK, 3=DEF, 4=MAT, 5=MDF, 6=AGI, 7=LUK

Your issue was that the max amount of increases/decreases is two, right? If you call that script call you can set the increase/decrease as you like.

single actor: $game_actors[1].add_param(1, 400) Actor 1 will have a MMP increase by 400

single actor: $game_actors[1].add_param(2, -300) Actor 1 will have a ATK decrease by 300

Unless I misunderstood your question.

Ok then yes perfect! If I call these scripts at any point in the game would it save for the rest of the game? Or would I have to keep calling it?

That I don't know :p Since you know the nature of my game, you might guess that I'm completely clueless when it comes to skills and parameters :p

Are you perhaps talking about the buff/debuff level? Only that is limited to two times, direct parameter changes can be done as often as you want and are (as said above) permanent.

Yes there we go! I couldn't figure out the direct name. I'm talking specifically about the buff/debuffs!

I didn't know what the correct terminology was, I was referring more so about the buffs and debuffs

Ok I found it, it was in the script "Game_Battler". Somewhere near the middle it allows you to change the max for buffs and debuffs
