Hello!

I wish to found a way to add a max lv for a class like we can make with actors.

For example my first class cap is lv 10, it unlock a new one beginning at lv 10 and with a max lvl 30, and it will unlock (one or many) other class and all and all...

I just wish to force player to change class when one is lv max with all skills learned and level capped.

Help me please and thank you!

thanks!

Here's what I did.

Use http://himeworks.com/2015/12/exp-tables-mv/ to create EXP tables for every class, and set up something like this: (Note: In my game, every actor has a max level of 13)

classexp.PNG

In this case, the exp required to reach level 7 is the same as the exp required for level 13, and as such, the player will level up directly from level 6 to 13.

Hope this helps.

Ah right thanks you!

With that i will be able to make an initial " XX" lv for the new classes!(and not lv 1.)

Thanks!

But about cap a level max for each class do you have any help?

that's could be great to see features adding an initial Lvl or a Cap lvl as notetags for edit our class with ClassChangeCore in the editor :)

I need help to put a level max per class!

Please :)

Any one can help me? :s

Edit:

Well if people know how to put a lvl max for particular class i'm still here to listen!

But i will cap stat max per class with baseparamcontrol from yanfly. It's not exactly ideal but it's enough to avoid people to limit on grinding class.

I cheked the actor gain lv in the class but the stat dont evolve! :)

Im having the same issue. Indeed, im planning to not allow any level grow at all (just increase stats by books/equipment/choices at some point).

For limiting growing level, i'd try some kind of variable, triggering common event. Once the variable (wich grows each time the player gains a lvl) reach certain value, it'll prevent more level growing.

I didn't try it yet by myself. But its something you can look at. If you already had, please post here the results, so more of us can beneffit from them.

Sorry for my bad grammar. My english is bad :S

So, just to be sure, you want class levels to be separate from character levels, like in the final fantasy tactics games and bravely default games?

Yes the yanfly plugin already allow to have different classes for character with different lvls.

But we are looking for a way to cap one of theses classes (or all, whatever) to a lv X.

Yanfly plugins allow to put a lvl max..but for an actor (so whatever his/her class, ff tactic or vanilla mechanic).

We are looking for a way to have a kind of "max level" notetag like we have for actor, but for classes! ( an example: the game begin, you have one class, it's apprentice, and it start to lv 1 and is cap at level 10. At lv 10 you have new classes unlock, and for exemple, mage class begin to lv 10 to 30, then at cap 30 you unlock archimage which start to lv 30 to lv 100 and more, and more)

Me i have a way by putting stat max per class, even if the lvls still grow stat dont changes so it force (kind like) to pick another, stronger class.

But i dont think it's a solution for primeless cause he want upgrade the basic stat from the stuff and if his class reach the max stat even if he change gears for a better one that wont upgrade.

And me i clearly prefer to see someone still lv 10 and with lv 10 stat for his class instead someone lv 178 with lv 10 statistic ^^

Thanks for helping ! :)

I am seeking help with something like this as well, for my first project, but I was approaching the problem from the other side. Rather than wondering if there was a way to cap the level of a given class, I was curious about whether or not there is a way to change the maximum level of a given actor during run-time. If so, I could simply adjust the maximum level of the character to be appropriate to their current class. Never even thought about the possibility of handling the issue from this angle. Anyone have a way to do this that works? It would be a tremendous help.

I've moved this thread to Plug-In Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Since this is going to require a plug-in to do this.

Here you go!

http://pastebin.com/vN9Xtddg

To use:  Add this tag to class notes:

<maxLevel:x>

with x being the new max level number you want.

This was made as a snippet and ONLY restricts levels with no other bells and whistles.  If you need/want more, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
