I can't find a way to do that...
I have Yanfly's Message Core but it only let me change the width and rows of the text box.

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the X and Y axis placement of the message windows? If so, you can use the extended message plugin from Yanfly to change the X and Y positions of said windows.

You can still do that with the extended message plugin. You can set the vertical height via an escape code. Check the plugin help for info on it. It's actually really great. Also, message rows helps to shrink it, but as you said you already did that and it wasn't what you wanted, then I assume this will work out better.
