Hopefully I'm asking this in the right forum?

Newbie question, so sorry if there's an obvious answer! I'm using the tileset from VisuStella's plugin game and think it's amazing. However, as I'm making large wasteland type maps, the ivy on the bottom right of the rock formation looks really out of place as I'm using this to make large rocky cliffs, etc. Is there a simple way to edit the ivy away?

Copy the left half of the image and then paste it over the right half so that the ivy is hidden away. Take an eraser with a very low opacity and sort of brush over the edge of the pasted layer. Add some shadows over the right part. I've done this in two minutes and the result was this:

I can sort of see a small distortion in the middle but it's a quick fix.

Ah, that's great! Thank you explaining how you did it. What programme did you use?

Photoshop. You can use Gimp too.

That's not ivy, that's the shadow, it's just highly stylized. Since it's pixel art you can tone it down easily by replacing the more extreme colors. I've been using GIMP for this kind of thing, but most art programs have a way to do it. Give me a minute to switch over to my computer and I'll upload an edit for you.

I did wonder at first if it was shadows, but thought it looked more ivy-ish! That would be great, many thanks :)

I did two versions, one with a toned down reflected light with my own colors, and one where I used the same colors as the rest of it but you loose a little detail.

I also though it was ivy XD Not really familiar with MZ's artstyle. Replacing colours is a nice technique ^^

That's great, thank you both for doing the edit and also explaining what you've done - it's really helpful! :)

I've started up Pillars of Eternity. It's interesting how the game does a "select choice" cutscene using still image art for dramatic flair. I wonder if that might work for my RPGMaker project.
