How to fade out right after a battle?

I've got this boss fight. Before it, the boss talks to the player for a bit, then the fight happens. Afterwards, I want the boss dead on the floor and the player moved to a different location. I know how to do all of this easy enough. The problem is the transition from the end of the battle back to the game doesn't look good.

Ideally, I want to be able to finish the battle, then fade to black from the end battle screen. Then fade it back in whenever I want after I've done all my eventing to move everything around how I want it.

Is this even possible?

EDIT: I figured out a way to do it: after the battle add a black image over the screen using Show Picture. it happens instantly, so you don't see any of the map. Then you can just move people around and then fade that image out.

It should be possible if the commands are done properly.

If it's a Boss fight, add a Fadeout Screen command at the start of your "If Win" condition, the screen should be completely black. Then you can move your events to where you need them. But when moving the player, make sure to set the Fade to "None", you'd be Fading In with the appropiate command.

I sometimes have trouble with this too and I think the solution I'm using currently just about does it in a satisfactory manner but iirc the wrong screen still shows up for a very short period of time. You could also try fading out the screen and working your magic before the fight and see if that works out for you.

Tried this and it didn't work unfortunately.

I figured out a way though. Added to my opening post for others who want to know.

Can't fade it before the battle because then you can't see the battle.
