You put an NPC, then put a Battle Processing command, and pick an Enemy Group with an enemy that looks similar enough to the NPC graphic.

Rocket science.

That's pretty much the solution, unless you find a battler image of the NPC or your create one yourself. MZ doesn't come with battler graphics for NPC by default.

Yeah, in terms of the battle sprites, that's a different question technically (?) but basically the premise is getting the proper graphics.

If you want them to be animated just like the player characters, I think there should be a plugin? By default MZ doesn't support animated enemies. After that, either using one of the battlers included with the program, try making one similar enough with the Generator, or you know, do it yourself / ask someone.

I'm also looking for this plugin!

The dude ???????? said he's got one but he's not online right now.

I want the enemies to be the same as side view battler player sprites.

this guy goes thru it for MV using plugins but I need it for MZ.

i also found this one which is also for MV but it needs yanflys SV animated enemies plugins

@Zilvergrafix just to clarify, the second one there isn't doing anything. The multiline Sideview battler tags are used to let the enemy have multiple possible SV Actor graphics that get chosen from randomly based on a weight. If you were to do that, you'd want more than one graphic between the tags and also to replace filename with the actual name of the file...

The one notetag required with that plugin is <Sideview Battler: filename> where filename is the name of the graphic without file extension in the img/sv_actors folder e.g. <Sideview Battler: Actor1_1> for Reid. Hope that helps.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
