Hello everyone!

I recently picked up a small project I did in XP and decided to edit it a bit. And I wanted to use the sparkly item graphic from VXA's "!Flame" photo into XP, but the only problem is, I can't select one single item, it groups it.

Like so:

What should happen:

This ends up happening:

Further examples:

What should happen in XP:

This happens in XP: (You may have to look closely to see it.)

Any solutions are appreciated!

XP only uses single sprite sheets, if you want to use them you'll have to split the sprites up and add an extra frame to each one, rpg maker xp uses 4x4 sprites not 3x4 there was a script will automatically do it for you if you install it and run the game, although I can't seem to find it now(I recently used it myself). you might try searching the internet for it. :)

Thanks for the solution! I appreciate it! :)

Also, would editing this image also or the dimensions be able to make the image compatible, possibly?

Not sure what you mean by editing the image.

XP uses spritesheets that have one sprite each. Ace uses spritesheets that have 8 sprites. There's no getting around that. If you want to use Ace sprites in XP, you have to split them up into individual spritesheets.

Then you have to copy the middle column, increase the width of the spritesheet by 1/3 of its current with, aligning the current content to the right, and paste the copied middle column into the new space on the left.

Unfortunately, while trying to run an app I needed (curse you, Adobe!), my laptop blacked out, so my data got wiped when I got it repaired. Stuff like facesets are saved in my drive, but my sprites now only exist as screenshots I've taken in the past :kaocry:To be fair, I'm a little relieved, since I've been feeling unsatisfied with the visual style of the character sprites, and I guess I can now revamp them?

after lot's of edits to Mike's attacks (to make it seamless with movement, no EX versions, cost 1-ups), I finally got combo skills to work. had to do a lot moving tho to get the combo list to appear where it is lol. that actually took longer than setting up the moves.
What's kind of amazing is I've been in a developmental rut for the LONGEST time but putting a music mix on of video game soundtracks and specifically hearing the VX Ace music come up and it's nostalgia of me being excited to make my first game has REALLY got me going again!
Finally finished my tiefling!
