Hi everybody,

It's been 2 days i've been searching around a solution for this problem but with no success...
Let me explain quickly : i created a sprite on photoshop with a resolution of 375x335 , 72DPI, RVB, transparent background.
In photoshop, the sprites looks really clean, even with a big zoom here's a screenshot :

But when i export the sprites as a PNG, in the game, or with any image viewer, the sprites looks a little blurry :

My questions is how can i export a Sprite a made it stay clean, not blur ?

Thanks to anyone taking the time to read these lines,

have a good day !

1) any resizing will almost always result in a blur depending on the % factor of the resizing and the mathematical formula used for resizing or zooming. The reason why photoshop has a better quality is because of the massive research that Adobe placed into it - the pricetag of Photoshop has a good reason.

2) for better help around your specific problem, we need better data and you need to use the terms as they are common for the RPG-Makers, because what you have is not a sprite in our definition.
Where do you plan to use it and what do you use it for?

Impossible unless you make your image the exact size of the screen or image view. All images get resized a little when opened with an image viewer, and that is what causes the blur.

Yes, my bad i forgot to precise what this sprite is for.
It's a battler/enemy for a sideview battle.
My game is in 1280x720 Fullscreen

any resizing will almost always result in a blur depending on the % factor of the resizing and the mathematical formula used for resizing or zooming.
i understand that, but i'm not resizing anything since i'm just exporting directly the clean enemy in the same resolution in png

All images get resized a little when opened with an image viewer, and that is what causes the blur.
allright, but why is it blurry when it is showed in the game ?

fullscreen IS resizing unless the game screen size is exactly the same as the monitor screen size.

I always use RGB mode for pngs with 72dpi and 8BIT and it's all ok.
Does other assets looks blurry too? if yes, then try this:

Put this as plugin in your project
Code:
ImageManager.loadBitmap = function(folder, filename, hue, smooth) {
    if (filename) {
        var path = folder + encodeURIComponent(filename) + '.png';
        var bitmap = this.loadNormalBitmap(path, hue || 0);
        bitmap.smooth = false;
        return bitmap;
    } else {
        return this.loadEmptyBitmap();
    }
};
and paste this in index.html
Code:
<style type="text/css">canvas{image-rendering: pixelated;}</style>

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
