Hi there. I'm trying to get my UI ready for graphics and I've disabled the standard white window borders and set the opacity to zero. However with a plain black menu background I am still getting grey borders. And I can't figure out how to turn them off. I don't "think" it's the menu background plugin doing these. But I could be wrong. I am using Moghunter's menu backgrounds to set up my ui graphics.

those can either be part of the programming in the code or something that remains from a mistake on your edit of the windowskin.

Can you attach your windowskin picture for us to check that, and give links to all plugins you have that might affect menu structure?

Looks like those are in your window skin, so you'll have to edit the image to not have borders. You say you set it to be transparent, but it looks like something's still being drawn in. windows are weird in that they technically have 3 opacity values, 1 of which is for the contents and the others for the windowskin. did you set opacity and backOpacity to 0?

Well .. the funny thing is I haven't actually edited the window skin yet .. that is still to come. The addon itself seemed to remove the border's and I got left with .. those. I could attach the unedited window-skin but I think that would be useful to no one. However I am beginning to guess that what the addon does is mask most of the window-skin border. Leaving only a tiny grey line that was also visible in the addon's demo. I'm going to try actually deleting the border from the window-skin. That should get rid of it. However I sort of want to keep the window-skin border. As I want to fancy up the message window and other ui elements. That this addon doesn't touch.

EDIT : Yep .. that's exactly what it is. Deleting the menu border got rid of the grey lines .. and the entire border on the other windows like messages. For some reason this addon leaves in like 1 pixel of the window-skin and removes the rest. Unfortunately this addon was the only menu background addon I've found that allows me to customize even scenes added by other addons. It seems I will either need to commission my own plugin or find some way to work around those lines being visible. Or maybe just delete the very outer pixel of the window skin and hope that it's that. And use the rest of the window skin for the menu background. Thanks people. I know what the problem is now. Figuring out how to fix it is my bag now :)

EDIT 2 : Aaaaand Fixed. I don't know javascript but thankfully I do know code in general. I was able to fix it with the tried and true method of "this looks like the right thing .. delete it!" Problem solved! And without having to butcher the windowskin XD.

I recommend you adopt the safer but still tried and true method of "this looks like the right thing ... comment it out, so if I get it wrong, it's easy to put back again"

Are we allowed to post about non-RPG Maker games? And, if so, would any of you be interested in a short, proof of concept type non-euclidian puzzle game?
I should realize that error was produced by a outdated version of MZ so that's why it pop up like that
