Hey I'm trying to get it so that when the Actor using a skill he wouldn't do a sword animation instead of the casting animation as he has sword skills rather than Magic for most of the game until he gets magic

How do I get the skill to work with his normal Attack animation rather than the magic casting animation

Thanks if anyone can help me out

set the skill animation to "normal attack" and make sure that the skill type is not defined as magic for sideview in the system tab of the database.

I made a new skill type specially for sword skills so I don't know why it made it work like magic

Also I have a cool sword animation for the special I just don't know how to make it not work as magic

It's set up like all the other skills in the database it's just a normal Attack skill with a new animation and set to physical element

I also just went to skill types in the system tab and added Equipment Skills to the bottom

I can't get a screenshot right now but that's basicly how it's set up

Can you guess how many times we heard "there is nothing different to working parts there" only to be able to point out the important differences when we finally got the screenshots?

That's why we're extremely sceptical if someone claims to have done everything correctly and still has bugs...

However, if you're sure about that you can add a third screenshot, that of your plugin manager - because if it isn't a wrong setting on the two requested pages, then it's most likely a plugin mixing up the defaults (either because you didn't configure it correctly or because of a compatibility problem)

I think you misunderstood something in our discussion - most specifically what I was writing about when I was talking about "normal attack", because your skill is most definately NOT a "normal attack".

I was referring to specific settings in the skill options, and not to "something normal" as in "something general".

Your skill neither adds the state "normal attack" nor is the animation set to "normal attack" - the animation is set to "special slash 1" (or however you call it, very small to read because you combined the screenshots) and the only effect is calling a common event.

But it's those settings that tell the engine to use the regular settings for the equipment.

I don't know which of those settings is responsible for which display in the engine, please experiment with those.

I meant it as though I wanted to have the special skill work as a normal attack animation so instead of it looking like the casting animation they can attack normally

It's not magic so I wanted to know how to make it look like a normal attack when it wasn't as it's a special move that involves equipment skills that can be used
equipment Skills are stronger versions of using your weapon to attack

So my point of this post was to find out how to make a skill not use the casting animation and to use the normal attack animation as they use there weapon and not magic

Thought would be more helpful to post them all together as I wouldn't have to send more than one
I didn't set it to a normal attack in the database as I wanted it to be under the option of Equipment Skills to be a special move rather than a normal attack
The user of the move puts there sword back in it's sceathe and then a multiple slash attacks the opponent

No problem. Sounded like you were having the same issue as me - I have a "martial" skill type for swordsmen that still uses casting animations, despite me removing it from the [sV] Magic Skills list.

I didn't set it to a normal attack in the database as I wanted it to be under the option of Equipment Skills
Again, that has nothing to do with the other part.
The skill type determines where in the command menu the skill appears - as long as the skill type is "equipment skills", that is where it will be, no matter if you set it to normal attack or not.

The attack button of the battlesystem will always activate skill number one, no matter what options are set on what other skill.

So please try to set your skill to normal attack.

Yea no, that doesn't work.

See this skill? I already had it set to everything you asked and it still has a cast animation.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
