Hey I'm very new here so if I posted this is the wrong area, I apologize.

I'm creating a little game using RPG Maker VX Ace and I came to a little issue.

I want to give the bachelor/bachelorette an item to raise their affection. I know how to use variables and stuff like that so that worked out fine.

But! I wanted the player give them only one item and then wait for a certain period of time, like a minute or so, before giving them another item.

I tried using the Timer but that just didn't work out that well...

Is there anyone who has a solution to this problem? I've been searching online for answers, but I couldn't really find one. I appreciate any answers. :)

you'll need to introduce the concept of time into the game - the timer is something different as as you found out it can't do what you want.

Either by script or by events you need an automatically counting variable to provide that time, and then use variables to store the last "time" the player got something and only allow those options if the time variable counted high enough again.

There are a few tutorials on this forum to show you how to create a time system by either events or by use of an existing script.

Oh hey! That actually worked!

Once I used Vlue's Basic Game Time & Day/Night Script, I figured out how to do it!

Thank you! :)
