How to have a loop broken by player touch?

It's a balloon animation, looped. I saw you could have it by direction, and pressing certain special buttons (shift, etc), but is there a way to just have it be player touch? Someone recommended an invisible switch next to the item, but that doesn't really help me - because the idea of the ballon animation is to show the player there is an action to do - ala a point and click adventure game. It needs to be broken by touch.

I did this with a "marker" for my next objectives, make it so the marker is a separate event on top of the one you want with a second page blank depnding on a variable, then when the event you want to be touched resolves up the variable of the marker by 1 so it dissapears, you can make a consecutive marker by activating it at value 1 essentially "moving" your marker/cursor.

Supposing i want to direct the player to press this button, ill set up an arrow pointing to it, like this

The arrow itself will then depend on a variable that its inside the button, the arrow will have this setup:

And the interactable thing should be set up

Doing whatever you're supposed to do ups the variable by 1 and deletes the objective marker.
