Hey all,

Was wondering if there was a way to make my world map "scrolling" or literally spherical where they can leave the western edge of the map and end up on the eastern edge of the map? I would love to be able to do this with your player transition.

Cheers,

there is a complicated one (doesn't require transfer events), but I dont know
how it exactly works (seperate maps, or into one), there is a video as well.

here is the forum (with link to his plugin site) and here is a sneakpeak.
I use a different one in case this one fails (which is for MZ as well TSR_TransferTrigger)
which is easier, but no scrolling, but it let you go outside the map before transfer.

but if you have patients, I think Ocram plugin can do what you want.

keep in mind that Ocram plugin = NOT free for commercial or donation ware
to let the player download the game (microtransition), if you want to allow that,
a license is required.

otherwise, free for non-commercial only (if it isn't changed yet).

I've moved this thread to MZ Support. Thank you.

Tutorials is meant for sharing tutorials you've made, not for asking for help.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but can't you get that effect by clicking the Loop Horizontally option in the map settings?

no.
you can't loop an actual map, you can only loop a background.
BUT! you can fake it by making the map larger around the outer edge, and physically painting the other end where it should appear.
that, coupled with a timely teleport should sell the effect.

Admittedly some of the responses are confusing me unless I'm misunderstanding the question, because you can loop an actual map both horizontally and vertically with the map settings:

And testing it quickly confirms the map indeed loops and lets you walk around it as it wraps around. So the tiles themselves loop and wrap around and it isn't just a visual thing, if that's what the OP was looking for!

Parallax is its own separate scrolling option independent of map scrolling.

Unless there was something specific in the request I may have been overlooking, for which I apologise if so!

Thank you, exactly what I was looking for!

so I had two plugin that essentially overwrite each other depending on where they are in the list. so I had to edit what was overwriting one into the other and now they both work. I REALLY need to sit down and just learn JavaScript. I hate that I know just enough to know I don't know NEARLY enough lol.
The Open Hand scandal got even more spicy. The Completionist streamer Jirard made a video response and tossed a bunch of links and documents, but apparently none of it actually addressed why donations he collected sat for 10 years (way too long to justify). He also seemed to threaten defamation suits vs. people for what amounts to pointing out publicly available records. The IRS should definitely audit.
My next update is going to amazing! There's been major additions and things I've wanted to do in previous versions that weren't possible until now. It's not ready yet, but will be soon!
made an RTP edit to try to save on work, found out I was editing the wrong tilesheet of cliffs.
It's fine... I'm fine... I'm sure fixing this won't take too long
Proud of the work done.
