How to make an enemy sprite disappear?

I have a scene where an NPC attacks an enemy sprite, and then the enemy sprite needs to disappear forever, but since the enemy is a seperate event, I'm not sure how to make it happen.

You say "event", but "enemy sprites" are only used in battle, where there are no events.


So is this "enemy sprite" just an event on the map? If so, give it a second page with absolutely no changes except a switch as a condition, and in the event where the NPC attacks it, turn on that switch at the appropriate time.


This is a pretty basic issue, and using switches to make things change in the game is something you will do a LOT. I suggest you take a look at the beginner tutorial link in my signature.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
