Hello Everyone,

since Yanfly plugin YEP_RowFormation.js came out, i never saw anyone asking questions or posting about how to make enemies re-position themselves after getting hit by a attack/skill that change their rows so that they get "stuck" and unable to use their skills until they go back to their previous row, and that is why i would like anyone that knows how to do it to help us with this plugin that has good potential to battle strategy beside just setting your allies in front or back positions.

Sorry if this isn't the right place of this type of request.

That is doable. Set to row x have state y by default (just a dummy state if you want), and set it as a condition for the enemy to use a skill. To use it as a priority set the rating to 9 and the other skill to the lowest rating possible.

For example: Skill 10 - 'Move Foward' has the notetag  <Pull Forward User Row: 1>

Row 2 has automatic state 'Back Row'

Enemy has 2 moves: - Move Foward - condition: state Back Row - rating 9

                                   - Attack - condition: always - rating 1

That way whenever you push the enemy to the second row, it will always "waste a turn" returning to the first row before attacking. (this can be cheaty though so set cooldowns or high costs to the push skill xD)

I kinda see what you meant here but i fail to understand how to set this up as the help of the row plugin of yanfly there are only  2 notetags that can go into states which are: <Row Lock> and <Not Row Lock>. So i don't get after you say "Row 2 has automatic state 'Back Row' ".

Could you please set up a demo or image or a detailed explanation so i can understand better that part?

I already have the skills to push or pull from rows but i cant let the players use them because the monsters would be "stuck" without being able to do anything. And yes changing rows and using skills that changes rows have long CDs.

I have a sample project of 30 Mb with only yanfly plugins and basic images which i send to yanfly to check for bugs when i find some, in case you need one to do show it better. Let me know if you want me to share it on my dropbox.

@ShinGadrian

Just go to the plugin parameters, there is this field "Row X States". Whatever state Id you put there, the actor or enemy will have by default when they are in that row. So just set an state and use it as condition to know if the battler is in that specific row.

Your advice helped me a lot now the enemies can push and pull the weak players making them waste precious turns on that position because my row command will have long CDs and the same can be done for enemies now that they can go back to their previous position too if their skill to move rows isn't on CD like a "row command".

Thank you a lot for your help. :)
