Hi, all! Thanks for helping me and everyone else!

I'm trying to make equipment that will perform a function only after certain parameters are met while it is equipped. For example: a ring that explodes after using an inn or a suit of armor that increases Strength after every 1000 steps. Another good example is the Cursed Shield/Paladin Shield from FFVI (which I think converted after 255 battles?)

Thanks for your time!

Well.. now I can think of one thing that I'd like rpgmaker to have. and that's more conditional triggers on common events... then it would be simple to use variables to do this.

but reading this has got me curious about how to do this as well...

i'm still experimenting with things, so ill post whatever i figure out when i do. but i can't promise it will be the most simple way..

-update

ok, so you can use conditional branches to make variables, or any other trigger you want to happen, with a paralel processing common event that's triggered by a switch (which is activated by the triggering of when you want it to start..

But unless you give a very specific thing you are trying to do, I don't think I can give a more solid answer than that, as it's going to be different with each example you gave above.

So unless someone has a more concrete way of doing this. If you give me the details on one specific thing that you want to happen, I can give you a method of doing that specifically, and hopefully it will give you a better idea as to how to make others work.

Also,  if you don't know how to use variables, check out this guide by

Thanks, I really appreciate it! I'm no coder, but am really enjoying how puzzle out all these things. I just started yesterday, so maybe I'll figure one out.

Wait a second, so someone found how to undo that bonehead Flaw the developers went out of their way to give RPG maker after the PS version.

I just don't understand one thing(and the script's wepbage doesn't explain it either. What's the format for adding more then one condition through this method. It says you can, but it doesn't really show you how.

Do you need to retype the comment, and then a whole new condition branch, can you put the condition branch into that condition branch or what?

Edit: Just ran a bunch of tests, and for each extra condition you want, you need to retype the comment out, and it must be in a stand alone condition branch, so It's a space eater, but that's ok, worst case scenario, you can just make the condions of on one page, just activate the next page, which will have the actual event commands on it.

PS. Hime evidently makes some damn useful scripts.

RMMV
Since you have also asked this in the Script Requests forum, I am going to close this thread. Please do not start multiple threads for the same thing. If it needs to be moved, just report it and ask for mods to move it for you, instead of reposting in another forum.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
