So I'm really really trying to understand how to make a game and after wayyy too much work, I finally got an event to work how I wanted! Konoe sets Mori (the cat) down, and it walks off upstairs, wanting her to follow.

What I need help with is when I go upstairs and come back, or if I choose to go outside again and come back, I don't want Mori to still be in the room. I want him to be upstairs now!

Here's my code:

From everything I've read, you don't use erase event, you use control switches. I could swear I was doing exactly as I read in other posts and the people who asked the questions there said "thanks, it works" but not for me! What am I doing wrong >.<?

Parallel processes automatically loop - that's why it doesn't work.

The second page should have action button to prevent lag.

Additionally, you need to switch the event with the graphic - this event is only the controller, not the event with the graphic as it has no graphic on either page.

I assume that the "cat appears" switch activates the event with the graphic? then that is the event that needs to be switches off if it shouldn't be visible anymore.

Follow the link in my signature and play through the variables guide there - it's for Ace, but there are enough things similiar to help you.

Ok, I played through all the variable guide tutorial thing. I really .. have no better an understanding of how to make an event disappear though? And I can't look at the event things anyway.. it would help to see pictures of a completed example of what I'm trying to do to refer to ^^;

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
