I wondering if you can make it night in RPG Maker VX Ace lite. If it needs a script please put here even though it can't be used in the lite version I will probably use it in the near future. Thanks!

Can you tint the screen?
A lot! Use a really dark tint.

You can always check out Khas Awesome Light Effects demo game to see how things work with tint and a great script involved.

Don't try to use it yet though. Just play with it to see what can be done. ;)

Finding a good tint setting is a bit of trial and error and a bit of art. Here are some ideas.

Isaacsol's flashback tint: Red: -68 Green: -85 Blue: -85 Grey: 255 see spoiler for example

BigEd's Sepia tone: RGB for sepia: 94, 38, 18 see spoiler for example

poker158149 -187 -119 -17 68 <<looks blue-grey>> see spoiler for example

jasonicus set all to -68 see spoiler for example

azkanan see spoiler for example

I tried Jasonicus' idea of -68 rgb with the gray at 0 - but it wasn't as overcast looking as I wanted.

I settled on -68,-68,-68,100.

Here are some examples: (in spoiler, cause doggone they spaced out weirdly!)

original

tint1

tint2 This is a tint I used for dusk

tint3

tint4 This is IsaacSol's flashback tint.

tint5

tint6

tint7
[-tint screen-]

Except the thread title states the OP is using Ace Lite, which doesn't have scripts :)

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
