I'm new to these forums, so I hope I'm posting this in the right place. Is there a way to prevent passing through walls? With the Inside_A4 tilesets? I'm working on a game, but don't want people to pass through the walls I'm using. XD Any help is greatly appreciated!

um ... you can't pass through walls by default. If YOU can, you've got something wrong.

First step - look at the tileset that's used on the map. Make sure the top left tile in B has a star for passage settings, not an O.

If that's not the case, see if you've turned THROUGH ON for the player anywhere (in a move route, likely) and haven't turned it off again afterwards.

Actually, if all your NPCs are also passing through the walls, then it's likely to be the B tile passage settings. Or maybe you've got the A tile set to O instead of X.

Ah sorry, I forgot to add it in, I actually meant, was it the upper parts of the walls? Roofs? I'm not sure what people call those parts. Like on some parts of those I can't walk through, and some I can, as if there are gaps. Sorry if I seem all jumbled up. I don't know if there is a way to block off those passages, or if I'd need to do some retexturing.

You can walk on the top parts of the A4-walls or you can walk on the regular floor, but you need an "override" to walk from the floor to the top of the walls and back.

Unfortunately due to the way how Ace handles passability, most of the passable decorations will provide that override (not only the ladders which are intended to do this).

Follow the link in my signature and scroll down to the tip "A4 Wall Passability: the two-level-dungeon on a single map" for a more detailed explanation

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
