How do I design an event so that it will move towards my character whenever my character moves?
I can't use event spamming.
(the ninjas are the ones who need to follow you)

I don't know if there's an easier way, but I'd use a parallel event to check if the player moves. Make a conditional branch using script:
Input.dir4 == 0. In the 'else' branch, use a move route like 'move towards player' if you want the ninjas to just approach the player and if you want them to chase the player, then you can use plugin commands if you use a plugin for the chase. Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
