Hi, I'm new to RPG maker and was just wondering, how can I allow my character to pick up, carry, and drop an object wherever they please, like a box for example?

RMMV
You use events to have your character collect items. Add the item to the inventory.

Then if you wanted to let them put it wherever they want, you'd need a script. Search through the master script list - Tsukihime made one that will let you put inventory items onto the map.

This does not change the character's sprite though, so you don't SEE them carrying it around. If you wanted to do that, you'd have to create a version of the character sprite for every item you wanted them to physically carry.

There is a script by moghunter that allows you to pick up and throw events. It only requires one additional sprite per character that throws things (sort of a pose of lifting) and seems to work pretty well.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
