In RM2K3, there was a feature on Events that would forbid Event overlap (basically to prevent other Events moving over them), but that feature is not present in MZ. Is there any easy way of restricting roaming Events while allowing the player over those tiles?

The Visustella Event and Movement Core has region restriction notetags, so you can specify, say, Region 1 on the map is passable to players but not events.

@TheoAllen also released Region Passability Rules plugin that does this. It works well, but, for bug testing, you need to start a new game once it's installed and not just load a prior save (one without the plugin installed previously).

Try it like this, configure the event that the player can overlay this way:

By default, events cannot go over other events at all, even if they have different priorities. So if this is happening for you, you either have a plugin that's changing the default behaviour, or one of your events is set to THROUGH.

Players can move over events as long as the events don't have 'Same as Characters' priority.

So what you are asking should be possible out-of-the-box.

Fun Fact: My last two projects (Fursona and A Postmortem Nation) were released before I could do post-completion playtesting because I got so excited and happy I released them on the spot. Sometimes I have rubbish impulse control. smh
Circle, circle, dot, dot... I got my first COVID shot! And I barely felt it, which shocked me. Usually having Autism causes my sense of touch to be amplified! I go for my second dose in June.
Another update, this time on moving. I got the keys to my apartment today, but it was poorly cleaned/repaired. They're working on it, don't worry!

The game is totally not for cult recruitment. As of yet, we have not summoned Cthulhu.
Unfortunately, besides that, many issues still need to be fixed for more common fellows.
