RMMV How to reference the id of a currently highlighted item

I'm trying to find out how to reference the id of a currently highlight item in the item menu and have this number be updated whenever the cursor moves through the item list.

When I first gave my gf The Mask Behind the Dream as a present little did I know how much she would fall in love with @averys gnomes.
