Patently untrue. Look at all my posts in this thread. I am trying to have a reasonable discussion, but you keep flying off the handle.

I don't know why you're so defensive, and I don't know why you think everyone's out to get you; I'd really like a mod to come in and make this particular line of discussion go away because it is unreasonable for the other members of the forum to keep dealing with this.

I already said I was done arguing with you, but sending me DMs, then locking the conversation so that I can't reply to you is completely unacceptable, and given that I have no alternative if I want to talk it out than to talk here I will do so.

I do not know what you're trying to achieve. I read your OP, I read the expansions on the topic and I answered the question.

The fact that you did not like my answer does not make what I said insulting, or "cheap shots". Like it or not, I am not persecuting you. I am not singling you out. I am not continuing some campaign of harrassment against you because I do not care enough to do so.

I do not know where this persecution complex has come from. I remember when that big argument happened because some people were on the side of transphobia, and you then posted that whole "I am being bullied" thread, but I figured that was done and dusted and in the past, but since then it feels like you've held some kind of grudge, or false impression that everyone is out to get you. "Me and my buddies" simply do not exist as a group of people 'out to get you' - all I was trying to do was engage with your topic.

Apparently me being critical of addiction mechanics and "rewarding players for positively reviewing a game" is in some way a personal attack on you.

It was not. You asked a question, I answered it, end of story. But now you've gone and made it into another mental argument, and I simply do not want to do it. It's a disservice to me, it's a disservice to you, and it's a disservice to the forum.

So please, stop. Stop sending me weird DMs claiming I've in some way ruined your hobby by disagreeing with you. It's weird and manipulative, and frankly cowardly to send that, put the boot in and then lock the conversation.

This is the last message I am posting on this topic in this thread. If you want to talk it out, my DMs are open, but I don't think you want that. I think you want to keep thinking you're in some way being bullied or targeted, but you're not. You're simply not.

Look man, it's a personal opinion. Whether you like it or not. The only reason to be upset by it is if you think the person stating it has a point.

A person is not entitled to think that they are beyond criticism or reproach.

While I wouldn't have called it "bribery" outright, it's not something I agree with either. But, hey, to each their own. If all you care about is profit, then you do you.

If you aren't proud of chasing that profit and doing whatever you're doing to chase it... then maybe you shouldn't do that anymore?

I was taught from an early age that if you aren't proud of something you did do, are doing, or will do... you shouldn't be doing it.

I have respect for people chasing profit and saying, "yeah, doesn't matter, it works, and I want to make money, so I don't care what you think about it."

Even if I don't agree with the method or find it utterly distasteful.

I... don't understand this point of view. "Someone used to agree with me, therefore they should always agree with me"? Is that the implication? "Someone disagrees with me, therefore they are an enemy and terrible and will always disagree with me" is the other implication of the sentences here.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but it sort of rubs me the wrong way. It reads very much like "my way or no way" and "if you don't agree with me, then you're a terrible person".

You're free to clarify if that isn't what you meant, but as of right now... it doesn't sound very pleasant.

"Buddies"? I'm confused. Do you view when a majority of people don't agree with your point of view as somehow conspiring against you and they're all "friends"? I'm not really sure what to make of this accusation.

I mean, there's a LOT of people who don't agree with me, but I don't think I've ever viewed them all as "friends" or even some sort of conspiracy against me. They're just people who don't agree with me and I happen to be in the minority. Big whoop. I'm comfortable with who I am as a person and my own viewpoints. I wouldn't express them if I weren't comfortable in them. I am happy to be comfortably in the minority or even comfortably wrong.

So, I don't understand the sentiment you're attempting to express here. Who cares if you're in the minority? Why do you even care if people don't agree with you? I don't get it. Does it change how you're going to live your life if people don't agree with you? If it won't, then why should it even bother you?

That's not the point anyone is making.

Nobody's called you any of those things. You are the only one who's said anything even approaching that, we've been talking about game design. About mechanics and their employment in service to a game. Nobody is calling you a scammer, or saying you're pushing shovelware - we are talking about the "reward mechanics" you made this thread about.

But then, when people talk about those mechanics you take it as a personal attack.

This is just baffling beahviour dude. I'm kind of worried about you at this point.
