Hello, I am the proud founder of Wisdom Studios, we are currently designing our debut game which is called Project Wisdom for the time being. We are experimenting on how to update our game. How do we do it? Thank you very much.

Define "update"? What are you updating? Why are you updating it?

Assuming you mean a game updater that applies new code and maps and such after the initial distribution of your game, I could do such a thing, but it would certainly not be free, nor cheap.

Yami did do a patching system though, but it has to be done manually by the player. :)

I can't really tell if that was sarcasm? lol...

But I have the same question; what are you trying to update? As soon as you click the save icon the project is saved. If you make changes to your game you want people to play, you have to compile a new demo with all the changes you've made to the game and then upload it to the net ontop of your previous version.

If you haven't even started developing your game yet, why are you asking about sending out updates (if that IS what you were asking - no, I wasn't being sarcastic - new users often use weird terminology that means one thing to them and another to us).

Obviously if you make changes to your game, and you want people to play them, you are going to have to recompile and redistribute. How else would they get them?

In short - do not give it to other people until you are ready for them to preview, or beta test, or release. And when you do, make it clear that if you provide an update later and they take it, they will have to redownload the whole thing and very likely start a new game.

"updates" after a game is released are not a common thing, take a lot of work, and have to be planned and carried out very carefully. Normally, you'd want to release your game then move onto the next.

Sorry, I was referring to 'WisdomStudios', not you on the "Are you being sarcastic" bit. He quoted you without a reply which was kinda weird, considering you posed a question. lol

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
