In my game, I wish to use heart rate to show the health state of the character, instead of HP bar. There are actually 2 aspects of my problem:

1. How to display a floating heart rate on the screen?

2. How to make the number of heart rate to have negative correlation with real HP value? For example, when HP equals to 100%, the heart rate shown is 60; when HP decreases to 50%, the heart rate becomes 140.

I'm a beginner of RPG Maker so not familiar with some mechanisms. I sincerely thank anyone who may be able to help!

the HudMaker is 1 way, but that doesn't make the rate, which might be harder to do,
you can also omit the hudmaker is you want to use icon n the screens, but I would suggest
more, start small, do the ingame tutorial to have a good idea how it works.

make a tiny game with it with the basics and learn later deal with plugins.
using plugins arent always easy, some or most even require javascript knowledge,
which you need to know the basics of it, which can be more complex if using it if you know
advanced level of javascript.

Hudmaker for exsample require basic knowledge of javascript. so dont go over the top
at this point as beginner.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...
