Sounds fishy. That's one hell of a selling point for them to not mention.

I've never actually said this before but "Pics or it didn't happen." LOL oh God I'm going to have to take an e-bath 3 times to wash that one off.

I have luna engine and have not seen any game with luna at anywhere near that resolution. Are you using the experimental .dll plus luna, or luna on its own? Can you post a screenshot of the engine in use, so we can compare of it is actually visually the same? I would be happy to post comparison shots for this dll.

Yah! I'm using the new updated luna. I just went to the yanfly core script in there and no stretching. Lme get a screenshot. I originally had it the size you mentioned but I didn't like the large amount of space and also because I have to restart my project and resize the graphics. This is 922*6xx sorry I forgot haha.

Update:

K here it is. Also, i kno the menu looks screwed up but it's actually because I'm changing their placement haha

Can you confirm if using the high res dll or not? Because the high res dll does actually use Yanfly to resize. Therefore, if you are indadvertedly using the high-res dll, you will be able to resize simply through Yanfly.

Regardless, I will check this in the morning. I have a suspicion that the high res dll was somehow saved to Luna otherwise...

I believe it is, Also, if u look at the demos and other samples luna has, if you launch it, it has different sizes too that's not maximum size  you can have without the high res dll. I resized through yanfly script that comes with the luna base without doing anything to it. I do have the high res dll still though but have not used it on the luna base demo

The high res dll will automatically be implemented into the luna base if you have it in the Ace folders.

Wait, so the dll comes with the Luna Engine as well?

No, she has the experimental. Because you put the dll into the Ace folders, if you save any rm project, the dll will copy itself over.

Ah, but can you resize the entire game window (as shown in screenshots in first post) to 1366*768?
Some demos on Luna actually use the dll I think. NOT sure though

TRGSSX.dll might be a version of that.

??? How did this ended up being a double post?

My apologies, my browser is functioning weird. Thought there were replies after me.

TRGSSX is something else entirely :)

Gets the whole thing running, last I recall.

I will be happy to boot up Luna and check. Give me a min.

Oh my bad.

Yeah it would be nice to look if there is the dll in it. ;)

I am not so sure, since I have built upon some demos so... :/

It is easy to check if it comes with it or not.

If the dll inside the game folder itself is 2MB+, than it is the high res dll.

But if you got the high res dll installed in ACE's installation folder directly, and save any game project, the dll in the game's folder will be replaced by the the dll from your ACE program installation folder.

So, you can only check it if you got the original dll in your game's folder, which means, BEFORE you save your project.

As soon as you saved once, the original dll is replaced in your game's folder.

@Hotfirelegend

The link in the opening post for my Timer and Picture Fix leads to the original high res topic.

I suppose you forgot to change it to the new one (which is on the 2nd page in this topic).

PS: TRGSSX is a bitmap extension. It adds new ways to manipulate the bitmap and adds drawing methods for some unusual shapes too, as well as some other bitmap methods. A pretty cool dev tool to have for sure.

Unfortunately, it seems I saved the base version when I had the High-Res dll, so I have to check a non-base game.

However, there seem to be two RGSS dll files (one HD one non HD) in each folder, even ones I haven't touched. I do not know if this was due to renaming when switching them over or what, but basically I cannot confirm on my end unless I uninstall and reinstall Luna. Will switching it off on Steam and turning it back on again do that, or?

The Luna Engine has the Japanese Local version and the Steam Version. The Steam DLL is a lot bigger than the original VXAce DLL.

You are talking about RGSS300 and RGSS301.dll aren't you?

Yeah, the Japanese and the Steam version DLLs got bundled into the Luna Engine then, I presume?

That has a lot of issues and is exactly why this DLL was made in the first place.
