I'm relativey new to RPG Maker and so far I managed to (more or less) handle what I wanted to make even if it's probably FAR from perfect. One thing, though, I cannot find script wise, it's how to wait from Action A and Action B during an event. Specifically I want Sound A and Sound B to play with two seconds of pause from each other but in my supreme ignorance I failed to find what to put in the command editor. Can someone explain to me how to do so? My apologizes for the ridicolous question.

Hey!

On the second page of event commands, you'll see the "wait" command. Using it, you can put a pause in your events.

It's measured in frames (60 = 1 second), so for a two second pause, you'll need 120. Although, depending on how long your sound effect is, you may have to make it a bit longer (I don't think the engine waits for a sound effect to end before moving on to the next command, so you'll actually probably need 180 frames).

You might like to have a look at Andar's compilation of info for new users. Among the many excellent things he includes are links to two playable tutorials, one for Event Commands and one for Switches and Variables. Because they are playable, you can learn far more (and far more quickly) than simply reading about them or watching video tutorials. They will give you a really solid foundation in two essential aspects of making any game. Spending a bit of time on these now will save you a huge amount of time and frustration in the future.

@Vis_Mage Thank you so much! I can't believe I wasted so much time trying to find what script to put there when all I had to do was to press a button *facepalms*

@Kes I read the various pdf but- I will try the games as well thanks for the suggestion.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
