How would I go about making a Accessory with a status effect?

For my game I was going to have certain Accessories do effects like starting out the battle with Buffs or a status effect that allows the player to be revived after death for 3 turns (different subject, different time). I also have another idea of letting the player have all skill costs to be half while a different status effect eats away at the MP (think poison but for magic instead of health). This wouldn't be hard to make, but I don't know how to attach common events to weapons/armors. Any suggestions or plugins would be appreciated.

Well I know for the MP you just do the MP regen with a negative number within the traits. You can also do this with buffs as well. Also when adding a state to an item, simply do that in the traits under state rate. Now to make it a passive effect I believe Yanfly has a plugin for that.

You can place states on equipment. All you have to do is click the trait menu in the armour tab.

you can't, unless you define which common event to call, into the item object itself (by the note box, or modifying an existing field)
and, you'll have to modify the equipment window and/or the status window so that the events trigger or update when the window displaying the actor's status updates as well.
and, probably, the battle system.

your best shot would be to just lay out the process into a common event (and make sure it works, alone), make the bare item work, alone, and then tie the two together.
once you get that working, tying that into the battle system is much easier.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
