I've been using RPG Maker 2k3 for a while now, but I can't figure out how to do this. Is there any way to have a skill cost HP?

Not through the normal skill creation template, but you could set something up by hand using a Switch-type Skill. Making the HP cost work the same as an MP cost (skill is grayed out when you don't have enough) might require a little extra work, though.

It's in the in-game skills menu, but for some reason it won't appear while in battle, not in the Magic or Special sections. I've ticked the "battle" box under occasion, so I'm not sure why this is happening.

Switch-type skills can't be assigned to Skills (Specific)-type menus; you can only use them through a Skills-type command that displays a menu of every single one of the character's skills all at once.

It's cumbersome, and it really would've been better to put the "Switch" option in the "Target" field rather than the "Type" field, but eh, what can you do?

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
