HTML code question

Is there a way to put in a basic HTML-code powered thingy into my signature?

I've been trying to get some progress bars for my signature to no avail.

one method would be to use pictures... you can add pics using bbcodes...

There's practically NO BBCode Progress Bar makers available for free anymore, Nathan. And I can't draw worth a diggity.

if you copy the bbcode used by somebody in his sig and paste it into your sig, it will probably look the same...

anyway, yeah who are these people who has progress bars on their sigs? maybe you could ask them directly...

That's why I was asking. I need to see someone who has it, to be able to see how they've set it up. When you find them again, just send me a PM. Or someone who's done it may want to post some instructions.

anyway, the hard-"ness" of doing it depends really on what kind of progress bar you wanna make... if you want it just plain and simple, I think you can even opt to just draw a border and a filled graphic(the border + color filled inside)... then draw the filled graphic multiple times depending on the progress, then draw the border for the rest...

so like if you want each graphic to denote 10%, then let's say you have 20% progress, then you will draw two of the filled graphics and eight of the border only graphics...

I want it to be of respectable quality (I.E, not "Progress Indicators as brought to you by a dumb*** who's better off using MS Paint"), but not overly complicated.

Why not just save the image of an html progress bar for each progress point you think its worth showing off in your signature.

Then store that image on your hosting, and throw it in your sig. When you want to show progress is complete, overwrite the image you have linked to in your sig with the updated one, keeping the same file name so that the URL doesn't change. Then you don't even have to change anything in your sig, just the file itself.

That's something we can't help you with. Everyone who wants resources has to find them somehow.


Why not check some of the resource workshops - some of them will make you banners for your signature. They might be willing to give you different versions to show progress.
