Oh... I didn't remembered this tread but with the new updates on the forum I will try a few tests now.

And the pm and instant message center up there work and you can copy paste your links in your status and replies to status.  I don<t understand how it is so elusive to do so here for me :S

Nope!  PC.  But you might be right about WYSIWIG if W7 mess with my keyboard again... I'm Quebecer... French-Canadian; meaning I got dual keyboard.  Hence the weird accents or signs whenever I switch windows... :X 

So I don't know if it is related but I didn't realized my second post of all was still there and about when it was harder for me.  I was impressed to see one of my .png here and I admit that once forced to switch to W7 I lost a lot of good working use such as scanner, camera and storage USB stick.  Even my CS4 seems hectic upon how to do animated .gif or read the saved parameters of my animation parameters for my older .gifs on my .psd files.

I'm just happy to had posted my very first .png here ^^;  (even a WIP)

And...  I tried to test link that post to my older one as a test and.... I got that window frozen again.  (It -the site- really HATES opening me a link menu or any menus.)

What I don't understand is how comes I can copy-paste links or about anything in my status or my status replies if it don't work in here?.

Are you switched to the text-only input box? You didn't actually state that.


In the replies, is the little box in the top left of the toolbar (BBCode Mode) selected, or are all the other formatting icons on the toolbar enabled? If the others are enabled, hit the BBCode Mode icon and see if you can paste.


Honestly, that is pretty much my problem, any time I have issues posting or pasting on this site.


WYSYWYG also used to give me a lot of problems when deleting text (it'd change my cursor position when I started typing again, so I'd have to redo a lot of stuff).

Well something really nice must had happened on my side since then.  But I froze in the Linking attempt from the option menu.  :x  And I still can't paste them.

What happens is that once I open that link window, I can paste the link there (Just like in the Status) but when doing ok, it gets unresponsive.  Then, cancel gets unresponsive, the X from quit gets unresponsive, I can shuffle trough the URL, E-Mail and the other first option... but I can't get out!

On the other hand, I've discovered today that I can post .png by the option down while creating a new topic...  Haven't tried on an already going on topic if I can do it from that blue window menu yet.

All right I'm trying to see what you mean I got the collapse toolbar at the right second row of the blue window and the first switch at the top one.  I guess it must be one of the two.


Although I haven't played with them, the options from the pop-up 3rd button seems to not freeze my screen I might just test them for a bit while I wait to see if I understood how to switch to text only.  (a bit pessimist to not see that 4mg upload button I saw when I started the topic now... It might means a pop-up window will freeze everything again if I try to upload a picture from the options :S)


EDIT: Third button would be hard on me it seems to deal with special qualified user only BBC.


I think I found the option button...  I'll try something simple with it.


Link tentative; Nil... Even with paste as plain text by default :S  (argh!... Well I could try up at least THIS... Well Bold work but not color.)


Well, I gonna figure out a way to learn basic posting BBC and be happy with what I found so far.  I think it's on my end.  Also maybe using a lot of TinyURL so I don't get character mistaken in long URL strands.  ^^  Thanks BTW. It is very nice of you to answer so fast ^^
