First, make sure you have the VX Ace Steam version installed.  It won't install the RPG Maker DLC by itself, even if you have the standalone version of VX Ace.

If that's installed, make sure Steam has updated VX Ace after you activated the Farm Tiles Steam key.
@whitesphere Thanks for the info. I finally got it to work. :)

This is a almost assuredly a false positive. You can view the file scanned through 51 separate antivirus software via VirusTotal. I say this because 1.) they are giving generic naming to their supposed threat, and 2.) The better AV software out there isn't seeing this software as a threat. McAfee/Symantec/TrendMicro are pretty horrible security software companies that get peddled to people who don't know any better from the big box stores. Moreover, Steam verifies that files are clean before they are available for download to their users.

Now, that is not to say that this isn't an issue - it is. The software developer might be able to alter things so that it isn't picked up as malware (even though it isn't), but a lot of this lies with the AV company reporting the false threat and their shoddy heuristics engine, over-protective measures, and general lack of care. Perhaps the author of GameCharacterHub can submit an inquiry to the companies behind the software from my VirusTotal link to petition the results and/or add a signature which omits their software from being picked up in the future. This still requires the end user (you) to update your definitions so that this takes effect.

In the meantime, run a google search on how to add exclusions for your chosen AV software so that you may install and run GHC without it being flagged and deleted, and without having to turn off your AV software.
@Esrever That's great information. I guess since no one else has reported a problem, then I'll attempt to use the program again. Thanks for including that report. My Norton subscription is over in a few days, so I'm shopping around for other virus protection. I may switch to Bitdefender, but I need to do more research on it. Thanks again for the help and info. :)

I use Norton (yeah I know bad) and also got this alert.  I also came to the conclusion it was a false positive and just restored it and set it to exclude.  The pop up warning had an options tab to do that and also an option to submit it, which I did.

Several of the downloads were examples for other packs available in the store, they were never intended all to be used in a single game.

Just wanted to take a moment to throw out my thoughts.

As mentioned, in one week we hit over 1.5 million USD from the bundle. This is amazing and I sincerely thank every single person for putting money down towards such a wonderful cause. Honestly, from a personal perspective, every single penny could have gone to charity and I would be just as ecstatic (part of me cries like a baby inside when I think about the money going to these charities). I don't even know what Degica's cut is as of the time of writing this.

This makes me so incredibly happy to see how supportive people were of this bundle. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this bundle such a success. Have fun with your purchases and I hope you all feel awesome about chipping into such wonderful charities.

That's all I have to really say, as corny as it may sound, it means a lot to me on a personal level, as Child's Play is one of my absolute favorite charities for some personal reasons and the whole experience has been really mind blowing. Whether you paid a dollar, or $1,200 thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I agree, with so much raised, I hope they repeat the bundle in the future mixing things up a bit. I most assuredly would purchase more licenses. I donated three of the bundles to teenagers in my neighborhood who often play-test my stuff (gotta know what today's youth thinks, ya know?) Child's Play is a wonderful charity, that being said, the current bundle might not look attractive to a lot of people, but Make-A-Wish is another wonderful charity.

So far I've been spending all my time on Sweet Lilly Dreams (not sure if that came by paying for the upper tier or not), and that alone was well worth the money I spent on the bundle. By the time I get through all the other games, I'm going to feel like a thief for getting all this at such a great deal. And that's not including the packs, some of which I was thinking of buying but hadn't the chance before now.

I've already had the free games, but it's still a great way to market what the maker can do for non-commercial users.

So all in all, I think it not only a success for the community, but for the developers on Steam as well, because of the great RPG Maker games that were included with a Steam Key, which will hopefully get people to realize that RM games aren't always the plague they're made out to be.

Excellent point, amerk.  Granted, it's very hard to make a truly excellent game, as we all know quite well.  But showing people excellent examples of RPG Maker made games goes a long way to showing the toolkit isn't the problem.  Developers who really polish every aspect of their games can make great ones with the toolkit.

And I, too, am eagerly looking forward to the ability to export RPG Maker games to smartphones.  I have no idea, but my blind guess is it'll cost at least $50, since it is a huge amount of work to port the entire runtime engine to Java and Objective C (Android and iOS native app languages, respectively) and test them to ensure they work with acceptable performance and can run the vast majority of RPG Maker games and the many scripts available.

This is especially true on Android, to make sure the engine runs well on a reasonable variety of hardware specs since Android phones vary significantly in terms of screen size, memory, CPU performance, etc.

I was away due to RL for three months and it was Humble Bundle that brought me back to the site. I bought the highest tier and I still can't believe the price I paid for the sheer amount of content. Since then, I have been amazed by Skyborn and Sweet Lily Dreams, and both are inspiring for the sheer beauty of the maps and quality of gameplay (SLD is still kicking my ass).

What I meant to say is that only when I returned to the RM community did I realize how much I missed the forums and the wonderfully generous people here. Thank YOU for putting this Humble Bundle together.

I'll get this. Might even buy one or two to give away.

Can you say how long this will go for? (my pay doesn't come in for nearly 10 days :( )

I actually found them to be quite useful and fits perfectly for what I'm doing (particularly Celianna's Future Tileset).  Sure, some of the smaller ones don't fit so very well, but if you're clever, you can actually seamlessly use the RTP and some of the DLC together.

I WOULD suggest splurging the extra $10 to get the Western Tilepack as well.  Just because I like it's ores and tavern stuff A WHOLE LOT.

I'll get this. Might even buy one or two to give away.

I too would like to know how long it goes for-I'd like to buy another'n and give it to my brother, but don't get paid for another 8 days!

Hello there,

Sorry if this question was asked already but it's really bugging me... Is there any way to obtain the track, or if it's already included somewhere then point me to it if possible, that is being played during that announcement of the humble bundle?

The video in question is the above one and the background music is very catchy.

Please help me out in finding that track's name.

Thanks in advance,

DJScias

ok I wasn't sure where to post this so posting here due to it being a humble store thing but the https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/rpgmaker_adventuredlcbundle_storefront says it has "•A brand new Mini-Pack of custom resources created just for this bundle!" I was curious as to what it is I am on the fence about getting it due to the fact I have Fantasy Hero Character Pack already if I didn't I would more then likely jump on it

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
