I am a little perplexed on how to walk behind cliffs

Anyone know how to solve this issue i am having i built a cliff two high but there is a part i want the player to be able to walk behind but here is where the problem starts due to tile set being 4 direction collision if i was to put the upper part of the cliff on that means the lower part to walk behind it becomes impossible and if i do it the other way the top part there will be parts the player simply cant walk into making it seem like an invisible wall.

Anyone have any work arounds for this or something because its really bothering me.

there is no easy fix for this because the perspective that is supposed to be used with those tilesets never has you walking behind a cliff.
Your options are:

1) if the cliff is impassable, you can edit the tileset to have the cliff tiles on B-E and set to star passability

2) if there is only a few cases where you need to be able to walk both above and below the cliff tile, then you can use the same technique as in bridge events - there should be tutorials for this on the board, but basically you make the cliff an event with a passable cliff tile and use switches to have two different event pages with this, one below and one above player

3) for large areas "behind a wall", there are a number of scripts/plugins that change the engine to allow for this option. how they are used depends on the exact script, you'll have to search and look for them.

You need to use the cliff froms B tab, or create your own and set it to star passage. The problem is if you w ant the player to walk also on the upper part of the cliff.

You're going to need the help of an overpass plugin. The one that's packed in with MZ (dlc folder) works just fine together with the newest versions passage upgrade. If you walk under a layer 2 cliff set to star and enter through a overpass entrance region and have all walkable parts marked as overpass the cliffs default passage settings will apply. This works for the autotile cliffs even.

some tricks is converting that top part of the cliff as events with top of the cliff image... make it taller than normal player / event image. so when you pass behind the event... it will cover the player... but if you pass in front of the event... the player will cover the event (cliff)... hope this help.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
