You can download free trial if you are unsure.

No, if you used ruby, javascript will came easy for you then most people.
Most of the machine languages are derived from others.

if you change from ruby to javascript you might only need to learn the syntax.
and mostly above poster image is correct...

BUT there's special case with loading image... since back in Ace we can load image synchronously while in MV the image mostly load Asynchronously... so when we load bitmap for example... we cannot immediately grab the image.width or image.height directly in the next line (example case when we have another image that placed directly below the previous image but since the first image is still not finished loading... we the width and height is still null)... we must add some onload listener to do that...

hope this help.

That depends on whether you really learned how to program, or just learned how to copy and modify ruby scripts.

That is a very important distinction that a lot of non-programmer don't understand - and that includes so-called "cargo cult programmers".

If you really learned how to program, then you can program in every programming language that exists. Just take a syntax reference to check the exact wording and go on.

If you only learned the ruby language without understanding what programming really is, then switching to a different programming language is much more problematic, and in that case you might be better off staying on Ace.

Here is an interesting topic where you might want to read to understand the difference I'm talking about:

@Kupotepo I put your image in a spoiler tag as such large images can make browsing difficult for some users.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
