Prelude to the description:
Alrighty!! First off, when I saw that game contest - (2014 Indie Game Maker Contest) - I got a tad excited (...well so excited my eyeballs almost fell out) and of course I had to enter.
Not long afterwards though, I got given some freelance work outside RPG maker which ended up taking up all my life for just that month :/
Although I can't complain because it really is quite an awesome job haha.
Sooo with me not being able to have released it in time, I thought I would release the idea on here for your feedback and support whilst I develop it.

Synopsis:
If you had a look at the designs ... and the title ...and maybe the tags, you may get the idea that I might possibly be creating a zombie game.
...but actually I am creating a zombie game. (cough cough)
Not just any zombie game though, YOU get to be the zombie!
....that idea has already been done you say? Well actually, you're right!
Game Genre -
Puzzle, Tactics, Action
Atmosphere -
A giant puzzle where each room is a part of it.
Characters -
A zombie named Greg, (well whatever name you choose actually). You can add others to your team, rank them and give them awesome names like Greg too.
Features -
- An achievement system.
- Puzzle-solving.
- A leveling up system.
- A recruitment system (of biting people XD).
- Animated dynamics of objects and maybe people/zombies falling over (when the rooms move).
- Each play-through will be a little different with the rooms being randomly placed around the puzzle and the people being randomly placed within each room.
Alright, so you start off in a room as a human in amongst all these other humans. You soon realize that the character you play and all the people around you are delusional. Not only that, but this room is square with four exits. A cute rat appears (that's right I said cute, you can mock me if you want, I would too) and bites you. Suddenly everything changes, the rat is no longer cute, and you realize that it is actually very ugly and rabid looking. Your brain, among other things, disintegrates, leaving you as a zombie and the world around you becomes ... um clear ...now that your brain has gone XD.
Every so often the map shakes. You hear large objects fall and move around outside the room. After a while, you will begin to realize that you are in a giant interchanging puzzle, where each room is a piece of it. Every room is different with puzzles to solve in each one. Not only that but as mentioned before, there are humans. Delusional they may be, but even they will eventually notice your presence. With this in mind, (or not because you don’t have a mind heh heh) you set out to recruit more zombies with unique abilities on your team. ...you do this by biting the humans, yum
. Sometimes that won't solve the issue and so somewhere along the game you will have to gain a legendary disguise of all disguises... the glasses!
Now not even your rotting green flesh or your stench will matter!
Each person/zombie has unique abilities to either help or hinder you along the way. What unique ability do you have? Well the ability of leadership of course! Not only that, but you may be able to choose your own abilities to take on and level up. Abilities can range from puzzle-solving, (making the puzzles easier), to combat skills for fighting against those pesky humans. Each human will be different on how they react to you and your followers as well. Some may be smart and detect you faster and others may be so delusional, that they could attack anyone or anything they see.

Now why have I posted here? First off, if I can have your help and support, I'm sure the game could end up becoming awesome!
I think this game could be made within a month, but as I no longer have a deadline, I'm definitely going to put more time and effort into this and spend around a few months...
Originally, I was just going to develop the look of the main character. Now I'll be able to develop much more diverse characters and so I will completely concept those as well. Along with this, I will concept a few interesting environments which then opens up a whole new set of tilesets I may be able to release
. Other than that, I hope to be able to implement a whole range of things I wouldn't have originally put in there. Not only that, but if I get enough support and hype for this game I think it would be really cool to create some merchandise as I have a 3D background I might be able to 3D print a few things.
AND I just might be able to get this onto Steam as well!
BUT I would not be able to do most of this stuff without your support and ideas! PLEEEAAAASE, even just a like will bring this game a step further haha.
As I develop the game, I will be keeping this updated, sharing the resources I create, sharing the game versions as I work on it and hopefully take in and implement your ideas into the game as well.
With that, I hope that you would take the time and share your thoughts/ideas/feedback/critique below.

Alright, I've decided I need some names for the zombies, like how The Last Of Us, Left 4 Dead, Walking Dead etc. have names like runners, clickers, bloaters, stalkers, walkers, etc. lol
soooo there will be 5 different types of zombies. These include:
- A powerful bulk zombie. Big and slow
- A crazy zombie with claws and are fast.
- A smart zombie to help solve puzzles easier and faster
- A fat zombie who has a gas ability, (not the type of gas 'ability' you might be thinking though haha). Very big and very slow.
- And a highly infected zombie who can convert people a lot easier and faster, but has a high tendency to explode.
Any ideas? Thanks!

On top of this, I will be creating many different types of rooms as well... although I would prefer not to spoil this one
, but if anyone has any unique room ideas, just PM me and your room idea may end up in the game!
