I can't open RPG Maker and I don't know why

When I try to open RPG Maker MV, the dang thing doesn't open! I use RPG Maker MV on steam and when I hit play, the splash screen appears for a couple of seconds and then nothing happens after! (despite steam telling me it's running) I can't continue working on my project and I need help quick, I have tried resetting my PC, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and I have tried about anything I could think of, PLEASE HELP IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON HERE.

Edit: I managed to find a solution to this heinous problem! all you gotta do is uninstall steam, reinstall it in a different spot, reinstall RPG Maker MV and badda bing badda boom you got this problem outta your room! I hope this helps anybody in the future who run into the same roadblock!

Okay, first of all, yelling doesn't help. I know it feels like it does, but it doesn't.

You need to configure steam to install to a different location. Unfortunately, I do not know how to do this if you have only one hard drive. If you have a second, have steam install on a folder on the other drive. This happened to me, as well. Key files and parts of DLC do not get downloaded for some reason.

Alrighty, I'll try to do some research on how to do that install on a different location doohickey. Also sorry for yelling I am just very scared for the fate of my game.

Another possibility is that one of your background programs is blocking MV, for example an AntiVirus falsely identifying it as infected. In such a case you'll need to find out which program it is and tell it to allow the editor to run.
