I did not receive a product key with my purchase of IG Maker.

This is a serious and seemingly common issue.

If you purchased the IGM in the forum store, then your serial number is stored at your client area under purchases (click on your name top right)


If you purchased the IGM on the main store, then you should have gotten the email with the key unless it ended in your spam filter.


But in most cases where people were claiming not to have received the key, they simply didn't check their forum purchases - and that is not something Degica is responsible for.

It's not in the client area. I checked. It wants a product key. My client area is empty despite me owning 3 of rpg maker products. i recieved two emails. neither had the product key.

Nathial B. helped me with the product key issue, but now the program won't run at all. I says "Error" and crashes. This is the 3rd fresh install.

Apparently, IG does not work on Windows 8.

Just curious, but after you entered the client area, did you click on the 'Purchases' tab on the left side of your screen?

I ask because the 'Overview' page is always empty except for one sentence, and you can only view your forum store purchases from that tab.

I don't own IGM, but if I remember correctly from other people who reported problems with it, IGM has two patches that need to be installed in correct order for the program to work.
Those reports were pre-Win8 however, so I don't know if that is the problem here.


Check the installation and patch descriptions to see if that helps

It's frustrating. I had to bother an employee to generate a product key for a program I paid for. I STILL can't use it.

That's what employees are there for - to help customers. They may be busy, but they want you to be able to use the program as much as you want to be able to.
