You probably didn't format your character sheet correctly. Double check the instructions in the help file under Documentation -> Assets, and if you're still having trouble, post the image here.

there are a few other possibilities as to what can cause these effects, so if the tips above don't work and we can confirm that your character sprite is formatted correctly, then we need to know if you changed anything on the tileset - tiles set to star are displayed above the actor and can cause similar effects for example.

Did you do what I said and read the instructions in the help file? Because that is not the correct format for a character sprite sheet.

You can also see how the existing ones are formatted by looking at the image files in your img\characters directory, but the instructions are already written out for you, no guess work is necessary.

By default, character png files are assumed to contain 8 different characters.
From what I can see, it is exactly what happened, the game understand that only the top left of your spritesheet is to be considered, the rest being other characters.

If you want your character to be alone in its own file, you need to add the '$' symbol at the start of that file name. If you saved your character as Sprite-0001.png as you showed in your screenshot, its name need to become $Sprite-0001.png.

Your character image has 4 columns, which is only valid for XP. It looks like none of those columns are the same, so you can't "convert" it for MV without losing one of them, which will make it look bad.

In addition, it's obvious that they're not distributed evenly over the image - there is more whitespace on the right side than on the left, and more at the bottom and between the last 3 rows than there is at the top and between the first 2 rows.

Finally, you need to put a $ at the start of the filename to indicate there is only one character on this image, and not 8.

Is this something you made yourself, or have you downloaded it from somewhere? If you downloaded it, please give a link to the page where you got it from.

@Alexandre even that is not enough as the spritesheet itself contains more errors - 4 frames instead of three and a frame that does not fit any cell format.

@hiimmaru if the help file didn't help you, please read up the following tutorial:

existem algumas outras possibilidades quanto ao que pode causar esses efeitos, então se as dicas acima não funcionarem e pudermos confirmar que seu sprite de personagem está formatado corretamente, então precisamos saber se você alterou algo no conjunto de tilesets a estrela são exibidos acima do ator e podem causar efeitos semelhantes, por exemplo
The most bizarre thing is i can't get one more of one or two sprites,i tried all the time and nothing,im very sorry for taking your time :(

have you read the tutorial I linked you above?

It is extremely important that you understand what a cell is and the difference between cell and sprite.
you will never get anything right unless you start with a calculator to calculate your picture size from the basic cell size you decided on.

OK, so one step at a time.

what is the cell size you want your actor-sprite to have? You need to define that first, and then we can guide you through the rest of the steps.

That is absolutely huge. That means your actor will take up most of your screen space vertically - with a 1080p resolution, you only have 1080 pixels, and you want your cell to be 768 high.

I do not think that's actually what you want.

For reference, look again at the default characters in MV - they are 48x48.

Isn't your copy of MV in your native language? It seems like your troubles with us in this thread are due to translation issues, can't you understand it more easily from the help documents?

that is no cell size at all. It might be a total picture size, but it is NOT the cell size. A cell of that size would mean that the actor is larger than your entire screen.
You CANNOT start with the picture size, you need to start with the cell size.

That is why I pointed you to the tutorial I wrote as that explains what the cell size is.
The cell is the frame for a single version of the actor. For most default actors the cell size is 48x48 for example.

Please read the tutorial again to learn what a cell size is and give me the correct numbers for the actors you want.

are you sure? your first example picture above looks like something that is higher than wide, not something square.

anyway, with 125x125 your picture size has to be 375x500, and the filename has to start with a $ - something like $actor1.png

Then you need to place your 3x4 actor-pictures equidistant in those 3x4 cells (NOT4x4 like you did in your first try.

after that attach it and we can check it.

Guys, Tutorials is for posting tutorials you have written, not for asking for help. Use the Support forums for that please.
Trailer is almost done for the game i can't wait to show it to everyone
I've got good news and bad news. The good news is, there aren't any bad news to report. The bad news is, there aren't any good news to report.

Or as others say, yesterday was uneventful.

I am curious that can you "understand/get the point" about what does this place do generally?
