I was introduced to RPG Maker by an indie game called Space Funeral. This has led to many other delightful discoveries, such as Hello, Charlotte, Ib and Yume Nikki, the latter remaining one of the best games I've ever played.
Creating a game is not unlike writing a novel. It is a powerful way to tell a story, unique in that it utilises art, music, narrative and player's participation. Joining this community I hope not only to take my first steps in making games, but to become a better artist and storyteller as well. There will be questions, of course. The kind that the experienced RPG Maker users might find ridiculous. Trying something new for the first time does feel awkward, but that's the way "first times" are. We all learn this way, and learning new things is what I enjoy the most.
With that, I bring greetings to all of you and thank you in advance for all the support you can provide to a beginner.
