Personally, I would avoid names for "classes" of civilians and just name the "departments" of civilians.

"Infrastructure" for the people who have to build and repair things

"Subsistence" for people who have to gather food

"Watch" for the guards and police

"Militia" for the army

et cetera

Thanks for all the replies, you've all been really helpful  :)

I think I'll stick with 'farmer' when coming up with variable names and will use 'Harvester' for the ingame name, it has a somewhat eerie sound to it and the whole setting is somewhat corrupted and evil.

Hmmm.  If you really want to play in the land of a dystopia, you could have a Soylent Green plot twist...

Or, if everyone is a vampire (see: Daybreakers), maybe the Harvester is the one who siphons blood off captive humans.

At least that's what "Harvester" brings to mind for me.

Some interesting things to play with, at the very least.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
