I was trying to make Yanfly's Job Points (+Learn Skills) system work with the Skill Shop plugin in an Event. Is there any way I can do this? If not, is there an alternative? I'm surprised after a lot of digging that not many people have had trouble doing this like I have.

General Discussion isn't for asking about engine-specific troubles.

I've moved this thread to Plugin Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Yes... But she only shows how to use it in the normal menu... Not how to create an event "shop" for that specific function. That was why I had to go look for the Skill Shop plugin by someone else to try and make it work.

But, the main thing I'm looking for is a way to make an event a shop with which you can spend Job Points (from Yanfly's plugin) to purchase skills. without all the stuff in the main menu.

I mean you can go for skill books to buy if it should not work OR maybe another suggestion... do you use the skill learn system in your menu? Why dont you use the plugincommand for the skill learn system to open it up because it should be the right thing for ya

When I force it to open the skill learn menu it isolates it to one character and you cant change it without switching your party order.

Also, regarding the More Currencies plugin: Is that somehow compatible with setting up the Job Points from the Job Points plugin as the currency used?

Well one option would be to use the plugin command for the specific actor and you just using a choice command condition which actor the player want to learn skills for... i am actually not home so cant set it up for you

learn skill with jo points can be dont, but i think you need to use its notetags, read the helpfile in the job points
if there is any notetags, as for the skill learning system, i see it a couple of time though.

PS: try avoiding double posting, rather edit it if noone respond on the last one.

Well if you get a chance to tell me how to do that, I'd appreciate being able to take a swing at it.

One thing that could work is if I use "SceneManager.push(Scene_Menu)" to force the menu and somehow make a version of the menu that ONLY shows "Learn Skills".

Of course it is! I think its on default or with variable... you should watch the youtubevideo to the yanfly plugins those are very good made for beginners.

So assuming I use the "More Currencies" route and use the actual Shop function on an Event. Would putting skills up as shop items be viable for me? I would need it to function as a skill shop. Meaning, different for different classes or actors.

I managed to get the Learn Skill option to appear and disappear at will when entering and exiting the event, but is there a way I can make it so Skill -> Learn Skill -> are the (or some of the) only options shown? Such as the way I was able to hide/disable the Learn Skills option, but with other menu options? (Temporarily of course)

If you're in a place you can post one, at the top right, under the search bar there is a button that says "Post New Thread".
