Hello guys, I have a problem over here. I wanted to ask how to make a cutscene about Party Members suddenly appear on the same tile as the Player and walk out from it to have several conversation, then walk back to the same tile as Player then disappear? Basically I mean like how to make Characters suddenly appear and stack with the Main Character and walk out of it to chat, then stack back with the Main Character and disappear. Please help me guys! T T

Your tips and answers will be appreciated very much!!! Thank you so much for helping me! :kaocry:

'MV Deployment' is for issues around deploying MV to e.g. Android. "How do I...?" (implementation) questions go in the Support forum for the engine you are using.

Have dummy events with no graphics somewhere in the corner of the map. Make the event move them ontop of the player using "set event location". Use the "set movement route" to give them the respective actor graphic using "change image", and then use the "through on" from movement route and make them each move to the position you want them, still using "set movement route". Have the event take place. Move them back on to you player using the "through on" again, and again, use "change image" to make them invisible, and then "set event location" to move them out of the way again.

It's a bit fiddly, but it's doable. If you have the party following you on the map you can have the events move to their respective locations first, giving them the proper actor graphics etc. using "set movement route" and then use the command "change party followers to off". Dont forget to turn them on afterwards.

This is by no means a step by step guide, but just a tip for one way to do it.

No problem. There may be easier ways to do this, but it was what I could think of off the top of my head. Experimentation is the best teacher, maybe you'll figure out a smarter way :)

The second draft of my script is almost done, and I don't think I'm going to write a third draft. I'll make changes to dialogue here and there, but I'm happy with the series of events the way they are.
How you feel about font and dialogue box changing for every main character while the minor cast and regular npc get their own styles? Too much?
Just found an obviously custom effect (i.e. edited by me) in my resources>sounds folder called "rip jaw off". Dear Lord what is wrong with me as a person that at some point I needed a sound *specifically* for THAT??
(...rhetorical question.)
so like with the whole 'familiarity breeds contempt thingy', how are you supposed to tell if your title screen/battle music gets really tedious after a few dozen plays or if you're just personally hella sick of it?
