Hello, friends. I recently bough RPG Maker VX Ace and I absolutely love it. Anyway, I'm working on a new game based off of Zelda.

I have a basic plot laid out, but no idea about the name! :(

So basically Ganondorf captures Princess Zelda and tries to capture you, but you get away. You find out a lot later that Ganandorf was trying to capture you and Zelda because the three of you each contain a piece of the Triforce. Duh. :|   And he needs the 3 pieces together to open the door to the Shadow Dimension, a parallel world where everything is basically dark and disgusting, the leader being Dark Link, who Ganondorf  works for in payment for Dark Link resurrecting him after he was defeated ages ago by the 'Mighty Warrior'(LINK DUH).

But yeah, that's the basic story/plot. Any names/titles would be greatly appreciated. BTW, tho, "Legend of Zelda" has to be in the beginning.

         THANK YOU!

Depending on what part of that plot you like to focus I would say: Legend of Zelda - The Hero's Shadow would sound good. Or something like that.^^°

I like that! I might use that, but I'm still gonna keep my eye out!

Thanks!

Don't worry about the name, you can always rename the project later - just start making the game, usually you'll get an idea for the name while creating the parts of the story.

I think this line's mostly filler.

I agree with Andar. I wasn't able to come up with a suitable name for my project until I'd created the game world, written an outline four times (and I've made heavy modifications to the most recent outline - I'm a perfectionist), and gathered tons of materials for the game.

Generally, good names stem from major plot points that take place near the end of the game. For example, let's say you're playing a game called 'The Cupcake Thief 3: The Dirty Truth'. In this game, the protagonist 'Generic Angsty Hero' has his cupcake inexplicably stolen from under his nose. He wanders around the neighborhood in search of his beloved cupcake. The local bully, the creepy store-owner, the teen mom, the weirdly-intelligent three-year-old who gives an unbelievable amount of exposition, the local dog, and Generic's best friend are all innocent. Confused and a tad depressed, Generic heads home to to cover up with his Buzz Lightyear bedspread and bawl his eyes out. As he goes to use the bathroom before heading off to his room, he notices something - his cupcake is sitting on the bathroom sink. As it turns out, Generic took the cupcake to the bathroom earlier in the game and set it down on the sink while he did his business. When he was finished, he forgot to wash his hands and left the bathroom without a second thought. He didn't see the cupcake because he didn't pay any kind of attention to the sink on his way out of the bathroom. 'The Cupcake Thief 3: The Dirty Truth' is a play on words because the truth about the cupcake is that Generic essentially stole his own cupcake and Generic's hands are really dirty because he didn't wash them.

So, I would wait until you further develop your story to come up with a set-in-stone title for your game.

Same here.

I realized that two of my three main characters had names related to the moon (and I didn't intended at first).

I chose a moon-related name for the third character and got to insert "moon" in my title.

It's still a working title, but so far I like it.

And that was absolutely not my first choice.

Speaking of it : "working title" is exactly that. You almost never get the definitive title from the start of the project.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
